Conley Angus – A rich history of Angus, family, friends, and volumes of success stories. The Conley name is established, well-known, and deeply rooted in the Angus breed. The Conley brand is synonymous with great cattlemen, with integrity, and a passion for sharing success through continuous multigenerational cow families that have withstood the shifting sands of time.
THE BEGINNING
In the late 1940’s William Conley Sr. took on the role of establishing what became a world-famous Angus herd of common sense Angus, raised on Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts.
“Breeding cattle with the cowman in mind” was his philosophy.
CONLEY ANGUS THROUGH THE YEARS
To continue the success of Gibbet Hill, the herd was moved to Northwestern Missouri, where William Conley Sr., with his son Bill, progressed the Gibbet Hill herd into what is now Conley Angus.
Bill and his family spent many years showing Angus cattle – winning several banners through regional and national shows. Family is always at the forefront of sharing their passion for Angus cattle.
NEXT GENERATION
Over many years, William Conley Sr., his son Bill, and now grandson Trey continue to preserve the integrity of the foundation of Conley Angus. From private treaty sales to now, an Annual Bull Sale, Conley Angus has cemented itself as a part of Angus history.
Conley Angus has been breeding sound, functional, common-sense Angus cattle for generations. Conley Angus bulls have been put to the test, endured harsh conditions, and served their loyal customers — and, more importantly, valued friends — for many years.
